Greek jewelery designer Ileana Makri collaborates with Ashley and Marie-Kate Olsen in their ROW Resort Spring 2012 collection. Ileana Makri by "creating fine jewelery for no special occasion" focuses on details and hand craftsmanship and sells in top stores all over the world.
In Athens Ileana Makri's jewels and the ROW collection are available at Mageia store, Kolonaki.

MAGNUS LOPPE SPRING 2012
Denmark's biggest new talent in menswear and winner of the Scandinavian design award last February, Magnus Loppe, presented his Spring 2012 ready-to-wear collection at the Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Rei Kawakubo teamed up with The Generic Man and the result is a limited edition "Longwing Brogue" style presented in a Godard-inspired video. The unique pair of shoes is available at the Comme des Garcons stores.

PETROSPHERE IN ATHENS
PETROSPHERE is an exchange between 5 artists based in Glasgow: Ruth Barker, Helen de Main, Niall Macdonald, James McLardy and Ciara Phillips; and 5 artists based in Athens: Antonakis Christodoulou,Vassilis H, Margarita Myrogianni, Aliki Panagiotopoulou, and Kostas Sahpazis, working across the media of sculpture, installation, performance, works on paper, printmaking, photography and video.
On September 12th, all 10 artists will develop new work specifically for the Galini Hotel, Athens as part of the Remap 3. The exhibition extends beyond this appropriated gallery space through live performance, video screening, and a flyposting campaign, responding to the specific built, political, and artistic context of the city.
PETROSPHERE will be continued through a second exhibition of the 10 artists’ work at Glasgow International Festival of Contemporary Art (Gi), Scotland, in April 2012.
