Renowned photographer Vangelis Kyris is one of the top professionals that share their experience at the Fashion Workshop by Vicky Kaya. In February, he will be the tutor of a new series of seminars aimed at professionals seeking an update of their knowledge and those who want to broaden their cognitive field in terms of fashion. This series entitled "Master Class" is part of the View Master seminars in which Nicholas Georghiou and Dada Ioannidou, both top Greek stylists will be in charge and will be lecturing as well.
Last week, photographer, curator and designer Tim Barber launched his new book entitled "Untitled Photographs" in New York. A collection of images spanning his fifteen years of photography is now available from Dashwood Books that also distribute "Welcome to Earth" , another edition signed by the American photographer who presented the content of it in an exhibition at Yuka Tsuruno in Tokyo in the Fall.
Backstage photos by London-based hairstylist Panos Papandrianos who collaborated with photographer Ellen Von Unwerth in the thirteenth issue of the British Lula magazine.
France-based photographer Thanos Verveniotis visited Greece and asked the eternal optimist to collaborate in his first fashion shooting in Athens. I suggested that he should feature the Yiorgos Eleftheriades Spring 2012 men's collection and he loved it. After models Giannis Bachos and Simeon Savvas from ACE agency and Dimitris Alexandrou from VN were chosen, the designer welcomed us for the fitting at his atelier few days before the shooting.
The day of the shooting,make-up artist George Fytas did once again an amazing work with the models at the Make-up Lab , proving that he is a precious and professional collaborator.
Right after we headed to Plaka where Thanos shot the models in different locations. Those pictures are just a sneak preview of the final editorial, which cannot be presented here before its launch in the international press. More to come soon. Constantine Kalfakakos, close friend of the photographer, came at the shooting and volunteered to help him with the lighting when needed.
